How we grade
We compare your offer to what people with similar credit typically get, then turn that into a simple A to F grade.
What we look at
Your interest rate, your loan amount, your credit range, and, if you share them, any upfront charges to lower your rate and the lender's own fees.
What we compare to
Typical rates and fees for a 30-year fixed loan on a home you'll live in, with about 20% down.
What the grade means
A: a great deal. B: pretty good. C: a bit high. D: higher than it should be. F: you can likely do better.
What we can't see
Your down payment, home type, loan type and how long your rate is locked all change pricing. That's why the grade is an estimate, not a loan offer.
